What is Two Roads Theatre Project all about?

Two Roads Theatre Project offers high-quality educational opportunities in the art of acting.  We teach acting to students of all ages and backgrounds in order to develop transferable skills that will last a lifetime as well as to cultivate the artistry of those who are interested in pursuing this art form in higher education and beyond.

1) Adult Acting Class: Scene Study

Dates: April 14th - June 9th, 2018 (Saturdays)

Instructor: Audra Blaser

Level: Beginning-Intermediate

Explore the art of acting through scene work!  In this class, participants will have the opportunity to delve into material from contemporary plays, and over the course of 8-weeks, will learn and deepen acting techniques, primarily those of Stanislavsky.  In addition, emphasis is placed on key elements of acting, such as an ability to be in-the-moment and characterization.  Actors and non-actors alike are welcome!  Come and explore the craft of acting, as well as have fun, in a supportive, creative, and non-competitive environment.

Classes will meet at the TUTA Theatre Chicago in the Ravenswood Manor neighborhood.  The beautiful space is dedicated to artistic performances and is conveniently located off of the Francisco Brown Line stop.  The address is: 4670 N. Manor Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625.

2) Adult Acting Class: Acting for the Non-Actor

Dates: June 8th - August 10th, 2018 (Fridays)

Instructor: Audra Blaser

Level: All levels welcome

This class is for community members who would like to learn professional techniques of acting in a supportive, non-competitive, and fun environment!  The curriculum includes exercises from a variety of acting methods (including Stanislavski, Hagen, and Chekhov) as well as monologue work.  In addition, emphasis is placed on how these acting techniques simultaneously develop transferable skills, such as presence, creativity, and confidence with public speaking.

Classes will meet at the Glenwood Dance Studio in the Rogers Park neighborhood.  The address is 7017 North Glenwood Ave.  The beautiful space is dedicated to artistic classes and is conveniently located off of the Morse Red Line stop (intersection of Glenwood and Lunt).
